How to Care for Merino Wool

01 — Refresh

Less washing, more wearing

Merino wool naturally manages moisture and odour, so it can usually be worn several times before washing. Between wears, let your knitwear air in a well-ventilated space. Often, this is all it needs to feel fresh again.

Wash only when the garment truly needs it. Less washing is gentler on the wool fibres and helps preserve the shape of your knitwear.

03 — Dry

Dry flat and reshape

Gently press out excess water without wringing. Rolling the garment in a clean towel can help absorb moisture. Reshape it while damp and leave it to dry flat naturally.

Do not tumble dry. Avoid radiators, direct heat and strong sunlight, which can affect the fibres and shape.

04 — Store

Store folded

Make sure your knitwear is completely clean and dry before storing it. Fold heavier pieces rather than hanging them to help preserve their shape. Keep wool in a cool, dry place and protect it from moths during longer periods of storage.

05 — Maintain

About pilling

Some surface pilling can occur naturally with wool, especially in areas exposed to friction. Gently remove it with a suitable wool comb or fabric shaver. With wear and proper care, it usually becomes less noticeable over time.
