How to Care for Merino Wool<\/h1>\n

Merino wool is naturally easy to care for. It does not need frequent washing \u2014 gentle airing, careful washing and proper storage help your knitwear keep its softness, shape and beautiful appearance for longer.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

01 \u2014 Refresh<\/p>\n

Less washing, more wearing<\/h2>\n

Merino wool naturally manages moisture and odour, so it can usually be worn several times before washing. Between wears, let your knitwear air in a well-ventilated space. Often, this is all it needs to feel fresh again.<\/p>\n

Wash only when the garment truly needs it. Less washing is gentler on the wool fibres and helps preserve the shape of your knitwear.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

02 \u2014 Wash<\/p>\n

Wash gently<\/h2>\n

For the safest care, hand wash in lukewarm water at up to 30\u00b0C using a small amount of wool-specific or mild detergent. Turn the garment inside out and gently move it through the water. Avoid rubbing, scrubbing, wringing, twisting or stretching the knit. Rinse gently in water of a similar temperature.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

03 \u2014 Dry<\/p>\n

Dry flat and reshape<\/h2>\n

Gently press out excess water without wringing. Rolling the garment in a clean towel can help absorb moisture. Reshape it while damp and leave it to dry flat naturally.<\/p>\n

Do not tumble dry. Avoid radiators, direct heat and strong sunlight, which can affect the fibres and shape.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Make sure your knitwear is completely clean and dry before storing it. Fold heavier pieces rather than hanging them to help preserve their shape. Keep wool in a cool, dry place and protect it from moths during longer periods of storage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

About pilling<\/h2>\n
